INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THIS APPLICATION FORM
In order to enroll into one of our undergraduate programs, you are required to have the Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalent. If you are still awaiting the results of your secondary school examinations, we may be able to accept you on a temporary basis pending receipt of supporting applications, your reference, and your past academic record. In such a case, you will be requested to notify LCU’s Office of Admissions and Registration once your results become available.
REQUIRED ADMISSION DOCUMENTS
This application form must be fully completed and submitted to the University’s Office of Admissions and Registration along with:
- 3 recent passport-size photos
- A recent personal Civil Status Record or a photocopy of the National Identity Card
- A photocopy of the passport and the residence permit
- A recent Family Civil Status Record
- An attestation from the National Social Security Fund or its equivalent, if applicable
- A recent certificate of employment for the student or his guarantor specifying the monthly salary
- The official transcripts, for the last three years of the secondary school, certified by the issuing school
- A certified copy of the Lebanese Baccalaureate or its equivalent issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education
- The official transcript of any prior university study (for transfer students)
If originally issued in Arabic, documents—except for the Family Civil Status Record and the attestation from the National Social Security Fund (NSSF)—will be translated by the university at the applicant’s expense.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The application form must be filled with clear handwriting, dated, and duly signed.
- The information provided on the application form must be accurate and supplemented with official documents.
- The application will not be reviewed by the University’s Academic Advisory Committee until all required documents have been received and admission and application fees have been settled.
- Once an assessment of the application has been made, the decision of the committee will be communicated to the applicant.
- All documents submitted in conjunction with the application will not be returned to the applicant.
- File and application fees are not reimbursable.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR FRESHMAN PROGRAM CANDIDATES:
- Hold a secondary school certificate or a diploma based on 12 years of schooling. The certificate or diploma must be awarded by governments or recognized private schools.
- Obtain a certificate of exemption from Arabic or a certificate of permission to pursue academic studies on the basis of a foreign non-Lebanese program, issued by the Equivalence Committee of the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education to candidates who have demonstrated to have lived or studied in a foreign country for more than two years of secondary education or three years of elementary education.
- Take the required SAT I test prior to their admission to the Freshman class.
